During your teenage years it is important you continue to maintain a high level of dental hygiene and care.
Teenagers tend to eat the most sugary snacks and drink more soda than any other age group. It is therefore especially important that they brush and floss regularly. It can be easy to make excuses and put this off as many teenagers have irregular schedules and lead a hectic lifestyle; however, setting aside a time each day to brush and floss is critical. A lack of brushing may lead to Periodontal Disease, tooth decay, the need for extraction and many other serious problems.
We encourage our patients to schedule regular Preventive Care appointments every six months. This will include a Comprehensive Examination with Dr. Crooks and a discussion of your dental health.
